The local Costa Dorada cuisine features a wide range of distinctive Mediterranean flavours in a harmonious mixture of farm and sea products. xató, calçots, civet of wild boar, Rossejat noodles with seafood and Reus blancmange are some of the most popular specialities to have come out of the region.

And what better than a good wine to accompany these dishes? Excellent wines are produced in 5 certified wine-making regions (Montsant, Priorat, Penedès, Conca de Barberà and Tarragona) along the Costa Dorada. Furthermore, most of the vineyards in the region are included under the Cava origin denomination. The importance of the wine industry in the Tarragona region is reflected by the numerous tastings, fairs and festivals associated with the sector held over the year, particularly at harvest time in late summer.
