At Golden Hotels, we are working to achieve a model of responsible, sustainable tourism that respects the environment, as well as addressing major global challenges such as environmental stewardship, improved education, and equality. In addition to our actions within the environmentally friendly plan for our immediate and local surroundings, we also advocate for promoting the culture and sports of our destinations. We are delighted to be able to contribute our grain of sand (of the beach), as sponsors of clubs and sporting events, and projects undertaken in the locations where our hotels are situated. We hope to continue collaborating with them, with sports, culture, and other local initiatives that arise for many more years.

Official Hotel of Ironman Barcelona and Ironman Barcelona 70.3

The Ironman group and Golden Hotels & Experiences have reached an agreement to accommodate triathletes from all over the world who come to participate in this large-scale and renowned sports event held annually in Calella.

The Ironman is a series of organized long-distance triathlon races consisting of a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km marathon, performed in this order without a break.

The Ironman triathlon is internationally recognized for its length, challenging race conditions, and being a high-profile event.

The Golden Taurus Aquapark Resort Hotel is a 15-minute walk from the starting point of the race. During the days of the event, both triathletes and members of the organization are accommodated in the town of Pineda de Mar. The hotel is perfect for spending the days leading up to the Ironman for both athletes and their families due to its proximity to the event (1 minute from the sea and the area where the running race takes place).

Sponsor of the BeGoat Team 3x3 Basketball Club

The BeGoat team is one of the most prominent teams in the world of 3x3 basketball. It is composed of Catalan and Spanish players, and it includes the YouTuber @Flopball in its roster. Since its foundation in 2019, the team has participated in numerous national and international tournaments and has achieved significant victories.

Among the most notable achievements of the BeGoat team are the title of Spanish champions in the basket3x3series, runners-up in the @liga3x3indoor, champions of La Jaula Movistar ACB 2023, runners-up in the MASTER FINAL of the CIRCUIT HERBALIFE 3x3 SERIES, and champions of Spain in Redbull Halfcourt, among others.

In early 2023, they established 6 development teams ranging from the "Pre-Mini" category (U10) to Junior (U18) with the intention of laying the foundations for a "Baby Goat" youth program.

TRIR3LAY

The Sports Club Team TRIR3LAY's main objective is the practice of the sport of TRIATHLON. However, it also promotes the practice of other modalities or sports disciplines, such as swimming, road cycling, mountain biking, athletics, trail running, or a combination of these: duathlon, aquathlon, swimrun, etc.

Team TRIR3LAY is made up of a large human group that blends experience and passion for triathlon, with infinite enthusiasm to discover and progress in the sport. Since 2015, we have been the organizers of the TRIR3LAY events (Duathlon and Triathlon).

Sponsor of the Arts d'Estiu Festival

Arts d'Estiu has become an essential event for summer nights in the Maresme region. In its 12th edition, renowned artists like David Bisbal, Rosario Flores, Estopa, Ara Malikian, Serrat, Manolo García, Pablo Alborán, and Amaral have graced the town of Pineda de Mar.

At Golden, we take pride in contributing to this outstanding music festival, with the aim of continuing to share enriching culture and experiences.

UA Tossa de Mar

UA Tossa de Mar is a sports club dedicated to promoting sports in the town of Tossa de Mar. It was founded in 1983 and has federated basketball and futsal teams in various sports categories.

The goal of UA Tossa de Mar is to foster interest and participation in these sports disciplines in the local community.

We hope that with our contribution, we can help the club continue to grow in the sports area.

Official Sponsor of Club Voleibol Salou

Golden Hotels & Experiences has been a proud sponsor of Club Voleibol Salou since 2007.

In 1998, Club Voleibol Salou was founded with the help of parents, mothers, and the Salou City Council through the Sports Department. That season, there were two teams, a Senior Men's team and a Cadet Women's team, competing in the Catalan Championship.

Over time, the club has grown significantly. Currently, it takes pride in having four different categories: Infantil, Cadet, Junior, and Senior, both in the male and female disciplines, competing at the 1st and 2nd Catalana levels. This progress has led the club to host a total of 11 teams within its ranks.

Collaborations

Fundació Astres

The Astres Foundation of Santa Coloma de Farners is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We collaborate with them on the celebration of Sant Jordi, where we sell roses and their creations to employees and guests to raise funds for the association. We also worked together on International Women's Day in 2023.

Furthermore, they are one of the 3 chosen organizations to raise funds at the Golden Solidarity Market in 2022.

Associació de disCapacitats de l'Alt Maresme

ADIAM's purpose is to assist, raise awareness, and advocate for the rights and freedoms of individuals with functional diversity through awareness campaigns, training, workshops, sports activities, and collaborations in community events.

We collect all the plastic caps used in our hotels and offices for them to cover the costs of the non-profit Association. Furthermore, they are one of the 3 chosen organizations to raise funds at the Golden Solidarity Market in 2023.

Fundació Onada

The Fundació Onada is a social initiative organization that works to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and social difficulties. They are responsible for carrying out gardening tasks at our Golden Costa Salou hotel.

Fundación Aspronis

Foundation focused on generating initiatives, supports, and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. One of their members is Julián, who carries out various maintenance tasks at Golden Bahía de Tossa & Spa.

Institut Cal·lipolis

Golden also offers internship agreements with the Cal·lipolis Institute (Middle Grade Cycles in Aesthetics and Beauty) with the opportunity to join the staff immediately afterward. In fact, two of the current massage therapists at the Golden Costa Salou spa, Claudia and Noemí, joined the team after completing these internships. There is also a colleague currently undergoing this internship process.

Institut Sa Palomera

Sa Palomera Institute is a secondary education center that offers studies in ESO, baccalaureate, and various computer science vocational training programs, among others. We have donated computer equipment to them and have an internship agreement in place, allowing some students from the Basic Level Vocational Training Program in IT Support to come and do their internship at the central offices of the chain.
